Progress isn't Technological

On the vast internal renaissance that has yet to emerge.

Dear Renegades of the Mind,

Picture the future of humanity. What does it look like to you? What is different? What areas of life have been the most altered? The common view is that science, technology, and medicine will be the biggest disrupters.

But I propose something different. Something more psychological, something more ontological.

I propose that the future of humanity will be characterized by a more inclusive and direct relationship to reality. There will be much more widespread and accessible tools (often psychological in nature) through which we can navigate the utter complexity and nuance that is life.

We will develop the psycho-technological capacities to be so utterly inclusive and to usher future generations more seamlessly into this new reality that we will be truly global and interconnected humanity.

The end of wars is not better technology and better science but better psycho- technological means of ushering everyone into higher stages of development, cognitively, morally, emotionally, spiritually, and yet-to-be-discovered-ly.

And not only will we be more developed but we will be more connected to life. We will experience life through cooperation, unity, love, through embrace rather than fear, doubt, shame, guilt, depression, anxiety, loneliness, stress, and every other way that disconnection manifest in our lives.

This is how I view progress and how I intuit we will wake up to the truly substantial through which progress has yet to occur on a mass scale.

Love,Ethan

P.S. Some super exciting projects are emerging these days and I’m looking to connect with people in the Integral and 2nd tier thinking space. If you’re interested in these topics I’d love to connect. Reply to this email if you’re intrigued/interested in this sphere.
